Most notably it includes the departure of Iris Wheeler after Beverlee McKinsey decided to leave the show. It picks up right after The Shooting Of Alex Wheeler storyline.

This is the continuing story of Ryan, Ginny, and Barrett that picks up where it left off in The Shooting of Alex Wheeler storyline.

Clipper Curtis is fired by Alex Wheeler for his underhanded dealings at The Top Of The World Club. Clipper wants revenge on Alex and creates a plan for an attempted assassination against Alex. Clipper wants to look like a hero when he comes rushing in to save the day, but his plan goes terribly wrong. This storyline includes the build up to the shooting and all of the aftermath. It also includes elements of the romance of Ginny and Ryan, the return of Barrett Marshall, Paige conniving to break up Dennis and Dawn, while manipulating Eliot to help her land Dennis for herself, and the rocky relationship between Nita and Billy Joe.
