Time After Time/Soap World

Today I was priveleged  to interview Gregori J Martin about his new up and coming much heralded web series :The Bay.

The Bay is coming this Fall.  Now here  is my interview with this multi talented  individual.

SSI: How did you come up with the idea of The Bay?

Gregori: The characters and stories have been in my head for as far as I can remember.

SSI: What was the first part of the process in creating this series?

Gregori: Have a good solid story!

SSI: I see you are a fan of Dynasty and "The Bay" will be in the same vein. I love this idea.Do you think that fans are missing those big delicious nightime soaps?

Gregori: I'm not sure. Yes, I was a fan of Dynasty. I think fans are missing the big delicious soaps period, daytime and primetime.

SSI: You are an all around expert at the making of films since you have acted, written,directed and produced.

Do you think this new genre of soaps, the web series, is the future of soaps?

Gregori: I certainly do. Attention spans have shortened and the average web series is 5-8 minutes long. The web is definitely the television of our future.

SSI: The Bay will have a Utopia of talent with Tristan Rogers(Robert Scorpio-GH) and Mary Beth

Evans(DOOL/ATWT) to just name two of soaps best starring. How did you get such a wonderful cast?

Gregori: I've worked in daytime and have made many daytime friends. Plus I've cast many daytime stars in my films. The soap world is a small community, when you know one person, you know everybody! I have a wonderful cast and am blessed to have them as part of the team.

SSI: You have shot your opening sequences and the Kickoff party is June 3rd. How is the press reacting to this?

I would imagine they are all over this with such illustrious names associated with it, beginning with yours.

Gregori: It's going amazing! The response is outrageous. I'm humbled by the support of the fans and all who are covering THE BAY. It's been much fun so far, and it's just begun. I'm very grateful.

SSI: I ask almost everyone i interview a question I am trying to find the answer to so please give me your expert opinion.

Gregori: How can the Daytime TV soap be saved? Any ideas from your very creative mind? I'm hear to save it. I'm going to do my very best to give the fans what they want from the soap world, from the stories, to the characters, to actors, to romance and intrigue, to the production value, so and so fourth! It's all about communicating with the fans and giving them what they want.
