All My Children and One Life To Live Will Return For A Second Season

Posted by timeaftertime on August 19, 2013 at 5:40 PM

Word on the street according to published reports is that Jeff Kwatinetz has stated that both Agnes Nixon sudsers will return for a second season.  Here is what he had to say on the subject.

"We could not be more proud to have delivered a stunning season of All My Children and One Life to Live, and really thank the creative teams and cast for being true partners in this journey. Together we have tackled more business, creative, and logistical challenges than most shows experience in a lifetime of production, yet we continue to prevail with these top rated, critically acclaimed shows. We are prepping now for next season and have more surprises and twists and turns to deliver audiences—I am just hoping they stay on the soaps and not in our way."

That should have a calming effect on the fans of both soaps. Now let's see if One Life can pick up the pace in season two and if Children can woo Susan Lucci back.

I'm glad they cut back on the number of episodes. I think it will take story line pressures off of the writers and make them more realistic. How many times can DNA tests be wrong in one city? How many times can people die and come back ... It's one of the reasons soaps died. I think they will greatly improve when not pushed to create enough drama to fill 365 days a year.

I am happy One Life to Live is coming back. I am greatful too. My biggest wish if for them to come back on 5 days a week like they were. It is a good story and I feel part of the family. Thanks you for not ending the show. A long time loyal viewer.

Remember this is new territory and everything they do is for the first time. Many cable series take long breaks between seasons, we can wait a few months. All 'growing pains' aside, I think the shows were really good and getting better. Can't wait for Season 2!

This is a crock of crap. Either put them on for good or just forget it. Its just not the same anyhow but I was thrilled to have them back, only to have it go from 4 days a week to two to all in one day. Now we sit and wait for 50 some more shows at a time?

WHEN will the second season begin? Even a ballpark date would be helpful!

Would like to see them put out more than an hour a week! I almost forget what's going on by the time I remember to watch the next week!
