As The World Turns has been through many of actresses over the years. Some have been there for short stints only to go on to become Hollywood stars, while others have moved into prime time. Through it all ATWT has almost always had a stellar cast of actresses.
Yet when looking back over the years there have been 5 actresses who have really jumped off the screen and taken their roles to new heights. Some were in groundbreaking storylines that tested America's openness and willingness to let love be love,while others came together to great very popular couples with one of their male costars.
The longest running character of the 5 in this list has had some hellish years trying to keeping a certain ex-lover at bay and has been to hell and back trying to protect her family as she sees best.

No but Tamara Tunie has been out of ATWT so long, she doesn't even belong in the list. Than give the position to Maura/Kelley.
Tamera has had bigger impact on the show in her over 15 year total run. Which has spawned many covers of SOD & SOW. From a historical standpoint she deserves to be there.

No Marie is in ATWT and where Tamara Tunie. That just wrong. Marie should be in it.

Marie Wilson was left out!?! She has been an intricate part of so many storylines and plots. She should always be number one.

terri colombino should be on the list martha byrne should be out, in my opinon.
The actresses on this list made the biggest impact on this show. Terri did not. Although good Terri is she not one the actresses that will go down in the fabric of ATWT's history.
